China and Kazakhstan issued a "Comprehensive Development of China-Kazakh Strategic Partnership on a Joint Statement" on June13,2011. Both sides believe that China and Kazakhstan cooperation of energy is important for the development of bilateral relationship. The two sides will continue to expand and deepen cooperation in energy based on the principle of mutual benefit. For further development of oil and gas cooperation, both sides will work together to ensure that the Sino-Kazakh pipeline Phase Ⅱ, the Sino-Kazakh oil pipeline Stage2of Phase Ⅱ, and the third gas pipeline of China Central Asian are successfully constructed in Kazakhstan. Meanwhile, both sides will work hard to make sure that the operations of Sino-Kazakh oil pipeline and Kazakhstan section of China-Central Asian gas pipeline are long-term secured and stable. The two sides will continue to develop and deepen cooperation in the field of peaceful use of nuclear energy. Further, the two sides will also cooperate in the solar, wind and other clean energy as well as alternative energy fields.This article will introduce and analyze the cooperation between China and Kazakhstan in the field of energy at the point of legal perspective. This study will also introdu<concepts of the international direct investment law related to the capital-exportir countries and capital-importing countries, respectively, because the role of the tw countries is different.
