The Applied Research Of5S On-site Management In The Workplace Cooperation Mechanism

The work site of a manufacturing enterprise is the concentrated area for production as well as the management. Therefore, site management is important fundamental management and is vital to the improvement of the production environment and production efficiency as well as cost reduction.More and more enterprises have realized the importance of on-site management. However, the vast majority of them often start from the perspective of managing a single element, resulting in the difficulty of improving the site comprehensively, systematically and sustainably.The5S management is an on-site management method originated in Japan. It is the most basic, most effective site management method, and serves as one of the cornerstones of other management activities. Extensive applied research has proven that its successful implementation improves enterprises significantly in their performance of all aspects. In the21st century,5S management continues its development in combination of modern technology. Chinese enterprises have accumulated a lot of experience in the application of5S management, and the fields of its application are also increasing, achieving good results. However, they have learned many painful lessons, too. Because of the lack of grasp on the essence of the5S management, the implementation in most enterprises ended up fruitless.This paper is an empirical study of5S combined with the analysis of business practices. It breaks traditional entrance of5S management, adopting the methodology of SCORE project of ILO, has workplace cooperation mechanism in the whole process, advocates the management philosophy of "People First", and focuses on how to apply the5S theories in the improvement of site management. On the basis of elaboration on site management and5S management theories, this paper studies the implementation of the5S management in the workplace cooperation mechanism Chengdu Liduo Grinding Wheel Co., Ltd. The author hopes to find practical and feasible ways of5S management in the workplace cooperation mechanism, and contribute to the site management of small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises in China.
