Family enterprises are generally organized form of the enterprise, also be the source of modern enterprises, enterprises in the social economy of play a decisive role. The private enterprise of our country almost is a family enterprise color. Pay attention to the development of family enterprises and change, is concerned about China’s private economy in the future trend.Family business from scratch, from small to large, has become a socialist market economy the most dynamic parts. Successful succession to ensure the sustainable development of family enterprise ’s key, however "rich, but three generations" is often most of the family enterprises fate, power transmission become the bottleneck of the development of family enterprise long-term health. Chinese family business after thirty years of development, some of which have been successfully completed the first generation to the second generation of the transition, but suffered a " dilemma" is still significant number. Research of family enterprises in China power transmission problem, have important theory and realistic meaning.This paper is mainly divided into six parts to carry on the elaboration, the first part is an introduction, mainly elaborated the background and significance of this research. The research status at home and abroad, the research thought and the structure and research methods. The second part is the general concept of family enterprises, mainly including the definition of family business, family business power transmission related concepts, characteristics, mode of inheritance. The third part introduces the family enterprise power transmission theory, including the family business tradition in economics to explain: heritage resource theory, entrust-acting theory, contract theory and the enterprise life cycle theory. The fourth part focuses on the family business successors selection path: internal recruitment-followed in his father’s footsteps and external recruitment manager occupation-two ways. The fifth part is the inheritance and innovation of family business authority recommended, to follow in his footsteps and occupation manager two modes of innovative proposals. The sixth part is the case analysis. This part of the hundred years of heritage and Lee Kum Kee auspicious road occupation managers are described, analyzed two kinds of mode is worth to draw lessons from.
