In the background of rapid economic development, financial Economics--the invisiblehand behind is playing a positive role. Micro-credit business, a product benefitting the publicin the financial field, is playing an important role on the economic construction. Differentfrom the traditional financial instruments,micro-credit provides sustained and effective creditservices to low-income groups. It is not a new face in the world financial field, but in China isstill a relatively new topic, its theory and practice in China is still very limited.As a new force gradually forward to the modern commercial bank,postal savings bankHarbin branch, in the case of not bearing any historical burden, has an unparalleled advantagein the credit field full of commercial competition. Hundry demands and adequate capitalprovide a good market for postal savings bank to offer micro-credit services, and becomeinherent power of the main micro-credit development.However, postal savings bank as a commercial bank on the development of moderncommercial banks remained cautious step forward, developing micro-credit businessopportunities along with challenges, power accompanied by pressure, having to face a lot ofproblems and risks ahead.This article taking the form of a case, first describes the rise of postal savings BankHarbin branch and its micro-credit business development, then in-depth analyses internal andexternal environment. Put forward new initiatives to improve the microfinance businessdevelopment on the base of summary of main problems of micro-credit business.
