The Research On Financial Integration Of Group After M&A

M&A stands for the Mergers and Acquisitions. The more advanced theeconomy is, the higher probability that M&A occurs with as a nature result ofthe Market Economy. Ever since the first case occurred at the end of the19thcentury, M&A has a history of more than100years. And there also has beenover20years M&A history in China. However, the success rate of M&Aremains low mainly due to the failure of integration post-M&A, especiallythe financial integration failure. This thesis focuses on the group financialintegration after M&A, analyses the aims, principles, modes and contents,illustrates the case of Xinhua Media Co. Ltd., and aims to make somesuggestions to the group financial integration practice.This thesis consists of six chapters, with the first chapter beingintroduction, Chapter2to6being the main body.Chapter1is the introduction, introducing the background of the topic,the significance and the arrangement of the research.Chapter2presents the integration theories, including the importance ofthe integration and some popular integration modes.Chapter3elaborates on the definition, importance, modes choice, goals,principles and contents etc. of the financial integration after M&A.Chapter4is the illustration on the financial integration of Xinhua MediaCo., Ltd.Chapter5analyses the effect of the financial integration of Xinhua Media Co., Ltd. and makes some suggestions on the financial integration.Chapter6is the summary of the thesis.The contribution of the thesis lies in the detailed research on financialintegration of group after M&A, the intensive case study rooted in theauthor’s own experience, and valuable suggestions to the groupreorganization practice.
