Chinese Steel Industry Restructuring Research Based On The SCP Framework

Steel industry is the pillar industry of national economy and the basic industry ofpeople ’s livelihood. Steel industry locates at the middle position in industrial chain, playsan important role in the economic construction, social development and stability ofemployment and is an important symbol of the national economy and overall nationalstrength. As a traditional industry, steel industry had been having some problems for along time and these shortcomings become more apparent for the financial crisis, so thatsteel industry is facing severe challenges. Therefore, Chinese steel industry needs toadjust and restructuring is an important way. Through industrial restructuring to solve themain problems existing in the steel industry, optimize the industrial structure, enhanceindustrial competitiveness, and promote healthy and sustainable development of the steelindustry.In this paper,"SCP theory" and "game theory" is recommended and theoreticalanalysis and quantitative analysis are used about research methods. How to use the"game theory" to guide Chinese steel industry restructuring is considered as the focus onthe paper.First, this article bases on the consolidated results of previous studies, the basictheory and analysis of the domestic steel industry economics, the actual situation ofChinese steel industry and the current situation to look for a few of serious and urgentproblems, and Chinese steel industry restructuring is necessary; Second, the articleexplains the necessity of restructuring and how to use restructuring to improve themarket performance; Third, the presents difficulty and the measures in restructuring arecited, and the effective ways are got by using the theory of game; Finally, the conclusionis got by the written contents before and current economic development situation ofChinese steel industry and development status.
