| Shanghai Jiang’s Architects&Engineers(JAE) was reformed from Jainghuancheng design institute of Shanghai XD Design Group which is the firstincorporated design company in China named and managed by AcademicianJiang. The company has achieved great success under Jiang’s leadership andattracted broad attention from society since its establishment. JAE has manyprofessional engineers who are good at architecture and optimized structuredesign for high building, big span building and commercial building, amongour designs, the Shanghai Oriental TV Tower has been one of Shanghailandmarks.With the development of Chinese economy, Chinese reconnaissance anddesign industry is facing unprecedented opportunities, meanwhile, foreigndesign companies entering China also brought Chinese local designcompanies competition pressure and challenges. How to survive and maintainsustainable growth in new era with opportunities and challenges is to studyand select a long term strategy together with feasible execution goals andplan, based on the strategy and plans, the company is able to manageoperational behaviors and therefore find out direction for future development.This paper tries to answer above questions. The paper starts with research background and purpose, illustrates howto do the research and the structure of the paper; a brief analysis and narrationis followed on features of enterprise strategy management, the schools ofstrategy management and it development history and also the key theory andstudy methods being used in this paper; the paper then introduces theresearch target including the background, analysis on current status, and theproblems for future development; the detailed study is conducted in thefollowing chapters on micro economy, industry, competitors and internalresources and capability, based on these analysis, a development goal, thegeneral strategy and the sub-strategy of all functions are raised; the papergives a summary and further research issues in the last paragraphs. |
