Road transport is the foundation of the national economy, service industry, thedevelopment of the industry in bringing the economy increase and promoting socio-economicdevelopment at the same time,its scale development,speed and level in turn depends on thenational economy.This paper through the extensive research and analysis,using the method of input-outputand investment multiplier quantitatively estimates the road transportation to the nationaleconomy contribution degree. Combined with Shaanxi province in2002and2007input-output table,road transport will be on national economy mainly summarized thecontribution as follows:the direct creation of added value,promoting the development ofrelated industries,etc. Excluding the former in the case of the ripple effect,the contribution ofroad transport on the national economy was17.01%in2002,which directly contributed2.16%;road transport industry in2007was15.82%contribution to the national economy,which contributed4.13%directly. In addition, this paper also calculated the roadtransportation on employment effect. Meanwhile,the influence factor,induction factor andcomprehensive induction coefficient calculated with reference to the text and thetransformation of the existing research methods. On highway construction investment directlyto the national economy pulled quantitatively estimates,combined with the improvedresidents marginal propensity to consume and two production function method is discussed.Finally, according to the development practice of Shaanxi province road transport and theexisting problems,combined with the research results,this paper puts forward the specificmeasure to achieve economic and road transportation of the rapid development of thereference.
