A Research On The Evaluation And Control Of Automobile Recall Risk

In recent years, defective auto product has caused massive damage to public security and the consumers’benefits. For the purpose of reduce this risk efficiently; the Chinese government began to implement the "defective auto product recall management system" from2004.This implementation not only can reduce the risks for public transport, it also challenges the domestic automobile manufacturing and management. The ability of reducing car recall risk has gradually become the lifeline of manufacturers. It is not good news for Chinese automobile manufacturers which lack product recall management theory and practical experience seriously. Therefore, the risk evaluation and control of the automobile recall is significant both theoretically and practically.This paper firstly summarized the characteristics and connotation of defective automobile recall risk. Then it analyzed the impact and profound causes of the risks. Through the methods of Analytic Hierarchy Process and Gray Theory, the author then evaluated various recall risk indicators and established an evaluation and control system.Finally, take W automobile Company for case study. By doing research of W automobile Company’s production processes, this paper showed a comprehensive situation of W company. Based on this situation, the author set up a risk assessment system and made several suggestions for W company to improve its automobile recall management.Control and prevention of the automobile recall risk is a closed-loop improving process. It requires enterprises not only improve their production technology constantly, but also perfect their management and risk control. Above all, all these methods should be executed on the basis of consumers’safety and interests. Hopefully, these improvements would promote the sound development of China’s automobile industry.
