Over the years, it has been the attention focus of the Chinese Government and banking regulators to improve the economic efficiency and benefit of commercial banks, which is always the core of China’s financial problem to be resolved. On the basis of reading a lot of references, article first expounded the theory of economic efficiency and economic efficiency and benefit of commercial banks, and combining with China’s specific national conditions and the actual situation of the commercial banks, analyzed the main impacting factors from the macro level and the micro level. This paper established the evaluation index system of economic efficiency and benefit of commercial banks, and selected the10listed commercial banks as samples to make empirical research on the evaluation of the economic efficiency and benefit of commercial banks.According to get an access to commercial bank information from the annual financial report for the commercial banks and China Financial Yearbook, organized and calculated the corresponding original indicator data. Obtained evaluation results of the economic efficiency and benefit of commercial banks using principal component analysis model based on the application of SPSS17.0statistical software to index the original data, which concluded that the commercial banks’profitability and operational management levels have a crucial role in improving its economic efficiency and benefit, but the rank of each principal component score of these commercial banks showed a greater difference. On the basis of the analysis of empirical results, and in-depth consideration of the factors influencing the economic efficiency and benefit of China’s commercial banks at all levels, derived countermeasures to improve the economic efficiency and benefit of commercial banks.
