As the globalization of the economy is developing rapidly and China has joined the WTO, the influence of some foreign high-quality agricultural products to the exports of China agricultural products is growing. So we must pay more attention to the development of agriculture, and the key is to improve the competitiveness of agriculture in particular the market competitiveness of agricultural products.Jiangxi is a big agricultural province, which has good geographic conditions, ecological environment, natural resources, as well as agricultural labor resources. It has many favorable conditions to develop the multi-category and multi-level agricultural economy especially the production of green, organic and free food. The Poyang Lake Ecological Economic Zone up to national development strategies, which has brought the development of Jiangxi ecological economic to a new level and proved the environment and system security for the development of Jiangxi agricultural products competitiveness.This article is based on the theory of comparative advantage, the theory of the intra-industry trade and the theory of competitive advantage, in the view of non-price competitiveness and price competitiveness to analyze the status of Jiangxi agricultural market competitiveness and the main problems, Using four indicators like Trade Competitiveness Index, the International Market Share, the Revealed Comparative Advantage and the Regional Comparative Advantage to measure the market competitiveness of Jiangxi’s major agricultural products, and finding out the key factors that impact the market competitiveness of the agricultural products by The Principal Component Analysis, last we come to the following basic conclusions:(1)Jiangxi brand management of agricultural products is small and the brand standardization is in a low level; the quality security system is imperfect; the competitive exporter is lack and the international market capability is weak; the existing foreign trade support is difficult to apply to the export of agricultural products; the production cost is increased, as the rise of land resource price and labor price, the production of small scale agricultural and low quality of the labor force; the backwardness of the export professional services lead to the increase of distribution cost.(2) Jiangxi traditional advantage products like livestock products, aquatic products, tea, eel and rice have a strong comparative advantage, but the competitive advantage is not obvious in the overall international market. In addition, the competitiveness of vegetables and citrus in the international market is weak, but the citrus have a strong competitive advantage in the domestic market.(3) Brand, quality, market capacity, policy support, production cost, and distribution cost play a key role in the market competitiveness of major agricultural products in Jiangxi Province, especially the brand, production cost, and distribution cost. Based on the above conclusions, to enhance the Jiangxi agricultural market competitiveness, this paper Propose the following policy recommendations:Seize the opportunity of the construction of Poyang Lake Ecological Economic Zone,so as to accelerate the Jiangxi agricultural pace of brand building, focus on creating green brands; improve the quality management system, and promote agricultural products standard, strengthen the quality and safety; vigorously support the export-oriented agricultural leading enterprises, promote export market diversification strategy, develop deep processing of agricultural products; Strengthen the investment of agricultural science and technology, agricultural subsidies, financial support and information service system, break policy support of the trade barrier; strengthen the agricultural scientific and technological innovation, improve the quality of farmers’science and technology to reduce the production cost of agricultural products; strengthen the system construction of the market information service, and vigorously support the industry associations and farmers’ specialized cooperative organizations to reduce the circulation cost of agricultural products.
