Under the background of the rising of central China and implementing of China’snational strategic area, the regional economic development situation is strengthened. Researchthe traffic economic contacts spatial structure changes of the Poyang Lake EcologicalEconomic Zone in the first ten years of the new century, which is necessary to promote theregional growth pole formation, development and optimization in Poyang Lake EcologicalEconomic Zone and even the whole Jiangxi province.This paper combines the relation theories of regional economics, mathematical modelanalysis method, ArcGIS、GeoDA space statistics, and the methods of social network analysismethod and takes the Poyang Lake Ecological Economic Zone as the research object and its31cities as research units to analyze the county accessibility, evolution characteristics of theeconomic contacts space structure and the regional economic contacts network analysis, revealthe development status of the traffic and the variation characteristics of economic contacts andthe main problems of the region; Then put forward the influence factors of cities’ economiccontacts changes and integration optimization of the space.Through analysis of this paper the main conclusions are:(1)2000-2010years, thedifference of traffic accessibility of cities in Poyang Lake Ecological Economic Zone isstriking; The highway construction is the largest influence on the county accessibility,township road increase is the most in various types of the road. Poyang Lake west trafficsituation is better than the East, regional accessibility facilities center is not in the center of thegeometric and the most developed transport infrastructure of Nanchang City, but in the distribution between Xinjian and Yongxiu County.(2) From the corresponding overall theeconomic contacts ties with the scale of local population and GDP, and shows significantregional differences; Nanchang has the maximum economic contacts, cities surrounding thePoyang Lake and the edge of the zone is relatively less. By the local spatial autocorrelation, Nanchang City,Xinjian County, Nanchang County has always been a high concentration zone, Anyi county hasa low area, and Poyang County in the low concentration region; the reasons for this situation isthe difference among the development level of the cities.(5) Through the network analysis, thePoyang Lake Ecological Economic Zone cities, structural economic relation network isgradually complicated; Network density was increasing year by year, but the relationshipbetween the cities are still in a weak connection; by the betweenness centrality analysis spatialeconomic contacts among cities tends to be balanced gradually.(6) Based on the analysis of theproblems of the regional economic contacts space structure in Poyang Lake EcologicalEconomic Zone, consider that the agglomeration and diffusion of essential factors, theimprovement of transports accessibility, the construction of development zone which togetherformed the reason that actuated space economic contacts changing continuously in PoyangLake Ecological Economic Zone. Positive integration development, cultivate the core growthpole region, enhance the agglomeration and diffusion, deepening traffic axis of economicdevelopment, optimizing the economic spatial structure, promoting coordinated regionaldevelopment.
