| As the reflection of the advantages of regional resources and location, fruit industry typical of Xinjiang characteristics has developed rapidly in recent years. Red date becomes the preferred varieties of the fruit industry with the characteristics of easy to cultivation, drought tolerance, hardiness, adaptability, early fruit, fast return and good market prospects. By2010,the acreage has achieved6million Mu in the region and accounting for about40%of fruit acreage in Xinxiang. As the main producing area of the Xinjiang red date, the date industry in Akesu has developed rapidly in recent years. In2010, the red date cultivation area has reached1,7million Mu and accounting for nearly1/3of the date cultivation area in Xinjiang. However, the date industry development focuses only on the scale expansion and the increase in production and pays little attention to the efficiency of date production and product quality.Pro-ecological date orchard comes into being with the goal of promoting the quality and efficient development of the fruit industry and achieving the goal of changing "the large fruit area" to "the strong fruit area". In the building of the ecological healthy orchard, the general requirements of the development strategy are "environmental priorities and ecological protection","adhering to the sustainability of resources exploration and ecological environment"Pro-ecological orchard is a new thing, so the economic benefits status becomes the basis for its survival and development. There are many researches on the red dates cost-benefit, but most of the studies are the global or macro-statistical data studies which are short of local or micro-level data collection. So in this thesis the author takes the tianshan date industry pro-ecological orchard as the object of study. The information and data that get from field surveys and a comprehensive analysis of statistical data are used in the research. The study starts from the costs and benefits of red dates under seven kinds of fertilization program and researches the economic benefits of date production. From the study, it is found that organic production costs far outweigh the cost of conventional production, and the high input of organic management is not accompanied by the emergence of high-yield. Instead, the economic benefits under the conventional management are better in a single production cycle. What’s more, the huge difference of the cost of the two management methods have not been fully reflected in the sales price, the market law that the higher prices are charged for better quality has not been reflected. At last, this article explores the reasons for these deviations and gives some suggestions to improve the economic benefits of red dates. |
