The Sustainable Development Of Resource-based Region In Erdos City

Resource-based regions are certain special type of regions, whosedevelopment and expansion are relying on natural resource exploitation.The natural resource-based industries account for a large number share inwhole industry, and its leading industries are the extractive and primaryprocessing industry. In the special historical period, the resource-baseddevelopment has made an outstanding contribution on enhancing nationaleconomic strength, promoting regional economic development andenriching people’s material life. However, with the deepening degree ofresource exploitation, the sustainable development of naturalresource-based regions has caused universal concern of the whole society.The sustainable development is the common direction of countries inthe world, which can ensure a long-term and continued ability of socialand economic development. It could be a long-termed systematicundertaking.The sustainable development of resource-based regions is an importantpart of China’s sustainable development strategy. Recently, the problemsof sustained development in population, resource, environment, economicand ecologic are more and more obvious.On the basis of comprehensive collection, collation and summary ofsustainable development theory in the resource-based regions at homeand abroad, the paper furthered to concept and theory of resource-basedregion, as well as the essence of sustainable development theory in orderto point out the problems of sustainable development in Erdos region.According to current situation on resource exploitation and existingproblems in Erdos, several feasible recommendations on achievingsustainable development were put forward ultimately. The paperemployed a combination method of qualitative and quantitative analysisto analyze the reality of sustainable development in resource-basedregion,Erdos.,which have achieved the unity of theory and practice.
