Nowadays, As the rapid development of science and technology, domestic andinternational complex and changing environment, market competition isincreasing.This is a challenge and also an opportunity. How to help enterprises dealwith its internal and external environment changes, and succeed in the brutalcompetition in the market has becomed a challenging topic in contemporary researchareas. From the current situation of Chinese enterprises, there is certain a gapbetween china and Western countries in building a high performance work systems togain competitive advantage and improve organizational performance.This article is divided into three parts. The first part is about exploring thecomposition of high performance work systems for Chinese enterprises and identifythe deficiencies of China’s enterprises in building a high performance system. Thensecond one is the study on the relationship between high performance work systemsand organizational performance based on Chinese environment using method ofempirical analysis. The third one is exploring the mediating role of human resourcesflexible in the high performance work systems and organizational performance.After reading a wide range of domestic and international related literature,interviews with21enterprises, information is collected and analyzed the by descriptive statistics method. Moreover,79enterprises has been surveyed through empiricalresearch questionnaire to analyze the information with descriptive statistical analysis,factor analysis, regression analysis and path analysis by SPSS17.0softwareThe main conclusions of this article are as follows, high performance worksystem consists of four parts which are developmental training, incentive pay, effectiveperformance management, and standard recruitment.Study on the four factors of the high performance work systems andorganizational performance shows significant relationship between high performancework systems and organizational performance while the human resources flexibilityworked as a mediating variables has been verified.
