| High Performance Work Systems (HPWS) came out as concept by the Western scholars since the last century of eighties and nineties. It drew many attentions, and many foreign scholars have conducted extensive research and made many valuable research results.Chinese scholars focused on this topic relatively late. They focused on this topic around 2000. Even though it is late to start, Chinese scholars are enthusiastic on this. And they have great outcomes.Nowadays, there are many different opinions among the academic world. For instance, there are different viewpoints for practical activity of HPWS. In addition, the ideas and methods are variant. Hence, they had contradictive conclusions from their researches. However, those previous research outcomes are beneficial to and are valuable to the current researchers.There is a few of HPWS research for the garment and textile industry. The target research is the textile and garment industry in Zhongshan. Through the empirical study, the relationship between HPWS and performance of organization, it finally came up with a solution, and it is investigated in the following.First, through studying the previous research outcomes, and it combines with the actual state of the local industries, after the questionnaire is prepared, and it will be assessed, forecasted, project analyzed, factor analyzed, and credit analyzed for confirming the final questionnaire.Second, the relevant questionnaire needs to be distributed to the industries, and they need to be gathered through many channels.Third, the questionnaire needs to be sorted out. Delete the invalid ones, and to analyze the valid data by manual analysis, software analysis, qualitative and quantitative analysis.Finally, according to the result of data analysis and the HPWS theory, it has the conclusion, and there are recommendations and opinions for the HPWS for the industries.The conclusions for this investigation are in the following.1. HPWS is relevant with the performance of the organization.2. The implementation of the HPWS improves the performance of the organization.3. The relation of HPWS and organizational performance is different among different industries.Through the detailed analysis of the research outcomes, the recommendations of the HPWS for the textile and garment industries in Zhongshan are in the following:1. Work hard on the groundwork of the HPWS.2. The industries should focus on the different characteristics of themselves.Despite the fact that there is limitation, it is beneficial to implement the HPWS for the textile and garment industries and labor intensive industries. |
