China has been keeping rapid growth in export trade since the reform and opening-up policy, especially from the accession to WTO. However, there are great disparities between different regions. Present research concerns more about the diversities in the regional economic but rarely with the discrepancy between regions. So the research on the change in export region and its factors will fill up the theory vacuum and offer proposal for eliminating the disparities to keep a healthy economy. In this thesis, we carried an analysis of the datum collected from each province between1997and2010via Standard deviation index S, variation coefficient V, Sill Index I, Gini coefficient G, Export zone Q, and the concentration index D. We found that the absolute gap is widening with the relative one shrinking and the top5provinces"(also top10) growing share in the total exports of the country. We also find that, the disparities between the east-mid-west regions are dominant in the export trade of China with an growing internal differences in the east area. The Yangtze River Delta Union is establishing its dominance in exportation while the Pearl River Delta Union is fading out and the Bohai Union is maintaining its station. In the third part, we discuss the reasons of the disparities, with both theory and data analysis. We firstly figure the factors out according to the materials in existence and the contrast of the resource distribution, which include:foreign investment, labor and capital factors, human capitals, and political system. Then we adopt the Gini coefficient of the factors as the variables to do a regression analysis and find that there exist a permanent relationship among them. Naturally, we introduce dummy variables to set up a fixed effect model, and the regression result shows that each factor holds sway to a different extent:The labor capital dominants, followed by marketization, foreign investment and capital, while the labor has little effect. Finally, we make a summary and propose the advisement to eliminate the disparities in regions to promote different regions develop in harmony.
