Multistage venture investment is the basic operation of venture capital and is the basic strategy of venture investment. In the process of section investment, segmentation decision making is the most important thing. The traditional segmentation decision making often does not consider the preference of the decision maker, and the weight of evaluation indicator is man-made subjectivity given, so we discuss the decision making with preference to alternatives of multistage venture investment. The main work is as follows:Because of the uncertainty of venture investment and difficulty in quantifying evaluation indicator, firstly, we express the attribute values in the linguistic form and uncertain linguistic form. In order to solve the multi-attribute decision making problems that attribute weights are completely unknown and the preference information are in the linguistic form, this paper proposes an combination decision model to obtain the weights of evaluation indicator based on the gray correlation degree method., and compared with the minimum deviation model. And then we made a research on the multistage venture investment problem with preference information using this model to rank the alternatives.In the last this model is extended to uncertain linguistic environment and a combination decision model in uncertain linguistic form based on the gray correlation degree is established. Then this model is used to research on the multistage venture investment with preference to uncertain linguistic information.It is proved that the two kinds of models proposed are feasible and effective through examples.
