The Research On The Relationship Between Safety Information Disclosure And Operating Performance Of Extractive Industry Listed Companies

Safety is the most basic human survival and development needs, not the safety ofthis premise, any progress and development are having no meaning. At the same time,security also is the premise condition of the enterprise existence and development, ifthere is no safety assurance, will the enterprise safety accidents occur frequently,causing heavy economic losses, thus affects the economic benefit of enterprise. Inaddition，the safety of enterprises related to the safety of our country overall situation,from the current point of view, China’s production safety accidents, serious losses,although the country has taken many measures to improve the situation of productionsafety, the safe production situation is still not optimistic. As a result of the enterprisesecurity problem increasingly received attention, the society each stakeholder givesmore and more attention to the enterprise security information disclosure.In order to strengthen the supervision and administration of production safety,the state has issued a series of policies and measures, increase the safety in productioninputs, improve production safety cost extraction and use legal laws and regulations,strengthen enterprise safety in production expense financial management, guaranteethe safe production of the enterprise benefit. Extractive industry listed companiesbelonging to the high-risk industry enterprises, the situation of production safety areconcerned. So the intention of this article is to choose extractive industry listedcompanies in our country as the research samples, investigate its safety information disclosure, makes empirical studies on the relationship between its securityinformation disclosure and corporate performance, in order to improve the quality ofinformation disclosure of China’s extractive industry listed company and the level ofsafety increasing data support, and for enterprises to improve the safety ofinformation disclosure, to strengthen production safety supervision and managementof the cost of providing policy recommendations.This paper firstly summarizes the relevant literature at home and abroad, andthen give a detailed list of enterprise security information disclosure theory. Secondly,on the base of the combination between related theories of the domestic and foreignresearch the article presents the idea of this study, make the extractive industrylisted companies our country as the research object, and based on the data from2007to2010four years, use the empirical research method to analyze disclosure of securityinformation of extractive industry listed company in our country, use the method offactor analysis to extract the factors which reflect enterprise comprehensiveperformance which as independent variable, and construct the safety informationdisclosure index based on the safety information disclosure content which as thedependent variable, make the scale of the enterprise as the control variables, establishmultiple regression model between the safety information disclosure index andoperating performance of China’s extractive industry listed companies, test thecorrelation between them, and proved the proposed assumption. Finally, according tothe results of empirical research summarized the conclusion of this paper, andanalyzed the results of empirical analysis, contact the empirical results, combinedwith the actual business of relevant policy recommendations, and limitations of thisstudy. This paper is divided into five parts, each part of the main content and thestructure are as follows:Chapter1: Introduction. This chapter introduces the background, significance ofthe research, and the domestic and foreign related study, as well as the contents andstructure of this thesis and the innovative points. Chapter2: The theoretical basis for safety information disclosure. This chapterintroduces the related theoretical basis includes information disclosure theory,stakeholder theory, corporate social responsibility theory and signaling theory.Chapter3: Safety information disclosure’s current situation of listed companiesin extractive industry. This chapter introduced the relevant policies and regulations inour country; introduced the relevant provisions in enterprises safety production costaccounting processing in our country; Finally combine with the accounting data ofsecurity information disclosure of listed company in our country extractive industry,analyze the security of information disclosure and gives suggestions to improve thequality of security information disclosure of listed company of extractive industry.Chapter4: The empirical research on the relationship between safety informationdisclosure and operating performance of extractive industry listed companies in ourcountry. This part firstly introduces the data source of the research and sampleselection; Secondly, introduced the design, the research hypothesis, the variables andvariable design; And then factor analysis, means of content analysis method, andmultiple linear regression model, show the steps of model building, analysis andempirical results, and analyzed the results of empirical analysis; finally summarizedthe part of the empirical research.Chapter five: Conclusions, recommendations and limitations. This chapter firstlyintroduced the research conclusion of this thesis from the safety informationdisclosure’s current situation of listed companies the conclusion of empiricalconclusions; Secondly, according to the research of this paper proposed suggestions toimprove the quality of security information disclosure of our country; Finally putforward the limitations and research in the future and follow-up prospects of thisarticle.
