The basic starting points of strategic orientation of listed companies in Xinjiang:on the one hand, the slow domestic corporate strategy-oriented research process; theother hand, take advantage of opportunities and challenges in developing the westernregion, and “12th Five-Year Plan” to the listed companies in Xinjiang. The aim ofresearch is to expand the depth and breadth of strategic orientation, according to thenew political and economic situation, propose some advice to the strategic orientationof listed companies in Xinjiang.Strategic orientation as an important component of corporate strategy,representing the company’s future direction, representing the forward-looking featuresof a strategic.Strategies affected by the internal and external environment, strategicorientation are not outside the case. Strategy-oriented factors in the study weredivided into: environmental uncertainty, internal strategic capabilities. Environmentaluncertainty can be understood as the environment is complex or not, is varied or not,able to be predicted or not, is hostile or not. Strategic capabilities are the set of abilitythat can make company gain the long term and sustainable competitive advantage,which can be summarized as resource capacity, core capability, network capability,organizational adaptation and renewal, reflecting whether this company is able toaccess to resources, capture market, have the ability to adapt to the environment,meanwhile, reflect whether entrepreneurs have a far-sighted insight and clear strategicthinking.The purpose of strategic direction is consistent with the strategy, both expect itscorporation develop orderly and have good performance. Based on the the results ofprevious studies at home and abroad, strategic orientation can be divided into fourfactors: competition-oriented, technology-oriented, customer-oriented, future-oriented,and strategic direction is not good or bad, only suitable or not. However, the generalstrategic direction selected like the strategy will has impact on business performance,this impact is negative or positive, depends on whether a company select itselfstrategic orientation.Mature research should be a combination of standard research and empiricalresearch. The strategic orientation of the listed companies in Xinjiang follow this rule,after building the framework of strategic orientation choice, proposing theoreticalassumptions in study, considering listed companies of Xinjiang as study sample, takeadvantage of quantitative and qualitative analysis, depend on some statistical software, as SPSS17.0and Amos7.0, this study starts to empirical analysis, including scalereliability, validity analysis, after ensure that the research questionnaire and data isscientific, exploratory factor analysis the research framework, finally, usingconfirmatory factor analysis, path analysis to study in structural equation model, testwhether data fit the SEM. establish whether hypothesizes are right or not. Moreimportantly, the study not only test research overall hypothesis, but also use statisticalways to deal with secondary variable, this statistical treatment will help listedcompanies in Xinjiang to clear its lacks and specify their capabilities direction.Thesis invasive points:(1)build the study framework of environmentaluncertainty, strategic ability under the strategic direction of listed companies inXinjiang:(2)for the first time, strategic orientation study about listed companies inXinjiang as sample, expand the depth and breadth of strategic orientation;(3)carry outthe test of hypothesis in strategic orientation choice of listed companies in Xinjiang,and gain something in details of the hypothesis-testing;(4) based on analysis results,build a strategic direction choice mechanism of listed companies in Xinjiang.
