The Study Of The Relationship Between Corporate Governance Mechanism And Corporate Competition

Since reform and opening up, the private economy has been growing. Thedevelopment of private enterprises needs to improve their competitiveness. Thefirms’s environment can affect the competitiveness play; companies with theresources and ability determine the strength of the competitiveness of enterprises.Corporate governance mechanisms can affect the enterprises’ resources andcapabilities, so the study of corporate governance impact on the enterprisescompetitiveness is very necessary. Throughout the existing literature in our country,with specific areas there is still vacant on the study of the private listed companies inJiangsu province on the relationship between corporate governance mechanism andcorporate competition.This article attempts to make this effort to make up fordeficiencies in the areas of this research.In this paper, within the field of corporate governance and competitiveness relevanttheory as a basis, combining the qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis，combining empirical analysis and normative analysis, choosing Jiangsu listedcompanies’s actual financial data, using SPSS17.0through factor analysis, correlationanalysis and multiple linear regression analysis to test the relationship betweenJiangsu private listed companies’s corporate governance mechanism and enterprisescompetitiveness. The study found that it exist close relationship between Jiangsuprivate listed companies’s corporate governance mechanism and enterprisescompetitiveness. Except executives’ monetary rewards and board of supervisors’meetings is negative correlation with enterprises competitiveness, the ownershipstructure,board of directors operating mechanism, executives’ holding stocks and thesize of board of supervisors are positively related to the enterprises competitiveness.The results of this study not only shows the status of Jiangsu private listedcompanies‘s governance, also reflects its problems. In the end, according to the statusand the proplems, this paper put forward some policies and proposals to enhance theenterprises competitiveness.
