The brand competition of today’s society is the inevitable trend of development of competition. Create a strong brand for any enterprise and country are meaningful things, is to obtain the core competitive advantage foundation, is also in the contemporary international competition in the market economy can rise abruptly quickly, strong key. Brand theory research and development has experienced a long process, development so far, brand positioning, brand design, theory from the promotion, protection to the brand image, brand equity theory has been the development of mature.The agricultural product brand has obvious social value. With a strong brand support, all kinds of resource advantage into brand advantage, and then changes into a market advantage, can effectively solve the problem of increasing farmers. The agricultural product brand can drive a batch of enterprises will develop, promote the development of local economy. The agricultural product brand brand development has a set of values and institutional system, the implementation of these values and the system can promote the progress of social civilization.After our country joins World Trade Organization, the agricultural product market is faced with domestic and international agricultural product import pressure, produce market competition is more intense, the outstanding performance for the market competition will be the mainstream is no longer the product and product competition, but between the brand and the brand competition. Hubei province serves as an agricultural big province, through the creation of agricultural product brand to raise me to save agricultural product market competitiveness, will become the inevitable and realistic choice. However Hubei province to create a brand of agricultural product in the process, also existing idea lag; brand awareness; small scale characteristic industry is not outstanding; leading products failed to dominate the market; agricultural products refined, deep treatment is insufficient, low value-added products; agricultural industrialization rate is low, poor ability to resist risks and other issues; agricultural product brand promotion is a systems engineering, it is subject to the target market, market research and forecasting, product quality, image design, marketing services, advertising, brand culture and many other elements.This article mainly elaborated the brand theory and related knowledge, analyzed the Hubei Province agricultural product brand status and problems, and on how to cultivate the brand of agricultural products and puts forward the corresponding countermeasures: to establish brand consciousness, choose accurate brand positioning, this decided to brand strategy formulation and implementation, related to the brand construction strength and depth; relying on the advantage resource, develop characteristic agriculture, build a regional brand; integrated area resource advantage, develop characteristic agriculture, cultivate dominant industry, make the formation of scale, improve quality, cultivate regional brand; brand construction of agricultural product dissemination channels of agricultural products brand, expand the space, the government to strengthen the coordination of guidance, to formulate and implement policies, adopt policies to encourage, advocacy, financial subsidies, rating, to create a good brand construction atmosphere.
