This paper studies the improvisation ability in the time-based strategy. It is Increasingly apparent about the importance of time to obtain a competitive advantage, organizations need to reposition their own strategy. In this context, the time-based strategy get the recognition and attention of scholars increasingly out of important role in shaping the competitive advantage. At the same time,the issue about how to make a flexible and rapid response to change and customer needs under the time pressure has made improvisational ability become more important. Thus gradually scholars are concerned about the situation in the time-based strategy, improvisational ability also need deeper. That is,time-based strategy promotes the organization to choose the right time, take strategic action quickly so as to seize the new opportunities and challenges and to shape the organization improve improvisational ability. Also, it becomes valuable to explore improvisational ability in time-based strategy research. This paper argues that the time-based strategy impacting the improvisational ability is a process of deepening. We need to accurately assess the process mechanism about the time-based strategy impacting improvisation ability. Thus, we firstly define the connotation and latitude of the time base strategic and improvisational ability,then we turn the focus of discussion and analysis the relationship of time-based strategy with improvisational ability.Firstly, on the basis of theoretical studies,we discuss the meaning and dimension of time-based strategy and improvisational ability, and in-deeply analysis the relationship between the time-based strategy and improvisational ability. Then,on the basis of theoretical analysis, we start the empirical research using large sample survey collected data related businesses, and by means of SPSS17.0, based on the findings, we use the empirical study of a large sample to verify the proposed hypotheses. And came to the following conclusions:(1) In-depth analysis of the concept and dimension of the research object. Based on the in-depth study about the relevant literature,we analyses the concepts and dimensions of time-based strategy and improvisational ability. At last,time-based strategy and improvisational ability was defined based on the analyzes of the foregoing review.(2) In-depth analysis of the relationship between time-based strategy with improvisational ability. Existing studies are only two separate research, but did not dig deeper into their mechanism and path analysis. Based on this, the study analyzed how time-based strategy impact improvisation ability and we dissect the mechanism of the relationship between them.(3) Empirical test model of time-based strategy impacting improvisation ability. To test the explanatory power of the theoretical model for the study to enterprises and organizations, we obtain data through enterprise surveys, and conduct an empirical test of the proposed hypotheses using multiple regression statistical analysis techniques. The empirical results provide a certain degree of support for the effectiveness of the model.
