The problem of Sino-US trade friction between China and the UnitedStates is an urgent one to be solved in the foreign trade. China and the UnitedStates are the world’s largest developing and developed countries; tradebetween the two countries is also a focus of world trade. With the rise of tradebetween China and the United States, the trade friction will be more and more.In recent years, China’s rapid economic development, and China’sinternational status has been rising, Sino-US trade friction also will beintensified, forming a vicious circle situation, has been a serious impediment tonormal trade between the two countries.Although Sino-US trade friction is not a new topic, there have been manypredecessors and scholars conducted research and analysis on this issue.However, with the continuous development of the times, there are always newcauses and characteristics we need to investigate. China’s accession to theWTO, as well as the international financial crisis, the trade friction between the two big countries has reached an unprecedented state. In this paper, availablethrough in-depth understanding of the evolution of Sino-US trade, research thestatus quo of trade friction between the two countries, summed up the causesand effects of the Sino-US trade friction, ultimately targeted proposedcountermeasures and suggestions to avoid trade friction between the twocountries. Although the paper may not be able to completely eliminate theproblem of trade friction, but at least be able to now play the role of mitigation.First, give definition and theory of the trade involved, friction broadlydefined. The third chapter comprises primarily the evolution of Sino-US tradefriction, status and characteristics. Including the background and process inthe evolution of Sino-US trade friction. The evolution of the two countriesestablished formal diplomatic relations from1979to the present, divided intothree stages, namely, economic frictions between the institutionalized thefriction and policy friction. Status and characteristics of the Sino-US tradefriction with the status quo of Sino-US trade friction and concrete case studiesand the main features of the Sino-US trade friction. In the case studies, takeSino-US photovoltaic cells anti-dumping and anti-bribery case for example.Sino-US trade friction features include: the area of trade friction gradually expanded, anti-dumping become a new focus of Sino-US trade friction, tradefriction has serious political overtones as well as trade friction asymmetry.Second, analyzes the causes and impact of the Sino-US trade friction.Among them, causes of the factors can divided into the economic andnon-economic. Economic factors include high dependence on foreign trade inChina, the inevitable product of the process of economic globalization and theU.S. industrial structure change. Non-economic factors contain internalpolitical power game, the position and influence of China in the worldwide andthe dissemination of Chinese culture led to the American misreading. Sino-UStrade is divided into two parts. The impact on China contains both a positiveimpact, such as the national standard of living and the environment to improveand the quality accelerate domestic enterprises survival of the fittest; also havea negative impact such as the decline in exports, unemployment increase inpopulation. Impact on the United States divided into the impact of an increasein the stability of its economic development and structural unemployment.According to the former, in order to avoid the Sino-US trade friction, thepaper specifies corresponding countermeasures and suggestions from thepoint of view of the government and enterprises.
