Export clothing industry of China has gone through more than30years and haschallenges and growth.Chinese clothing industry has a rapid development andbecomes the pillar industry of the national economy, an important livelihood industry.It not only has created a huge economic wealth for our country, also solves theproblem of employment of hundreds of millions of people. But because of the weakfoundation, old production equipment and so on, our clothing industry is still in thebottom in the global value chain, namely at the lowest added value link, also thebottom part of the chain. In this situation, our country export clothing industry wasshutted out by developed countries’ environmental protection clause, or robbed bythe third world countries’ cheaper labor market. So the clothing export enterprises inChina cannot take vicious price competition blindly, it should constantly learn byitself, seek innovation and get onto the benign development road.Under the perspective of global value chain, enterprises intend to seek a road ofthe sustainable healthy development, first of all,they should be clear what is theglobal value chain, how to upgrade the innovation, that is described in chapter2.
