Research On The High-tech Products Trade Between China And US

In nearly half a century, more and more countries sign reciprocal tradeagreements or set up economic and trade integration organizations to promote theirdevelopment and growth. As international trade and economic cooperation isincreasingly close, international trade continues to expand, economic globalizationbegins to enter the development of the "fast track", an unprecedented global marketis gradually formed. At the same time, the previous pattern of product specializationhas undergone tremendous change. In the original division, the production ofcommodity components is concentrated in a country or region,however, With thedevelopment of economy, science and technology, this type of division pattern couldnot meet the requirements of rapid economic development in the economicdevelopment process, for this reason, intra-product specialization has emerged, itdivide manufacturing process into segmentation, the participating countriesspecialize in the production of products of a process or link with their own advantageto improve professional level and production efficiency. As a member of the worldtrade, China plays an important role in economic globalization. In the light ofintra-product specialization, the paper studies and analyzes the high-tech productstrade between China and USA.In recent years, the value of exports and imports in Sino-USA high-techproducts has increased and gradually become an important part of merchandise trade.With the increase in exports high-tech products to USA, China’s trade surplus withthe United States keeps growing. But it does not mean that China has caught up withthe United States, it also cannot explain the complementary structure in the field of high technology products trade has not materially changed between China and U.S.For further analysis of high-tech products trade, this paper uses the method ofintegrating theory with practice. Starting with paradigmatic analysis, it studies thepresent situation of ATP between China and USA and draws a conclusion that twocountries have become important trade partners. Otherwise, the exports of high-techproducts to the United States have a huge surplus. Then analyze the current situationof Sino-U.S. trade of high-tech products from the intra-product aspect. By theempirical analysis method, this paper evaluates the competitiveness level andcomparative advantages of China’s High-tech products. Then elaborate the influencein the import and export of High-tech products between China and USA from theproduct life cycle, multinational companies, trade barriers and the industrial structure.At the end of the paper, it can make a conclusion on the basis of the above research.The relevant suggestions are made with many aspects from upgrading of theindustrial structure, changing the foreign investment policy and coping with tradebarriers in order to make the pattern of trade division between China and USAtowards a direction in China’s favor.
