Consumption is driving force of economic growth. So nowadays inthe development of market economy, without consumption, we can’timprove people’s living standard, enrich people’s material and culturallife and build a moderately prosperous society. However, people’sconsumption behavior happens in a certain environment soenvironmental quality is a very important factor affecting the quality ofconsumption. So creating a good consumption environment canguarantee to promote man’s all-round development and ensure economyoperates smoothly and set up a harmonious socialist society. However,China’s consumption environment is unsatisfactory, especially in therural consumption environment. It is more than30years since reformand opening up, although rural areas in China have developed rapidlyand farmers’ living standard has improved greatly, the rural consumption environment is far behind the city. Many problems still exist, such as thedeterioration of the ecological environment, the backward infrastructureconstruction and the not perfect the rural market system, which seriouslyaffect the farmers’ consumption, prevent the development of ruraleconomy and are not good to improve farmers’ consumption level. It isurgent to solve the problems mentioned above. Therefore the research onthe rural consumption environment is of great significance.Based on the Marxist theory of the consumer economy and expertsand scholars both at home and abroad the important theories onenvironment development, combining with the present situation ofChinese rural consumption environment, this article does a research onChina’s rural consumption environment, emphatically analyzes currentproblems faced by the development of Chinese rural consumptionenvironment, explore the causes of these problems, and finally toexplore the reasonable suggestions to improve China’s ruralconsumption environment. The full text is divided into five parts: Chapter one is theintroduction, which introduces the research background and itssignificance, and lack of innovation and research methods; Chapter Twointroduces the theory of the consumption environment which provides atheoretical basis for the full text of the study; Chapter Three analyzes theachievements and problems of the rural consumption environment andtheir causes; Based on this, Chapter Four puts forward feasiblesuggestions to improve the consumption environment in rural China: thegovernment should strengthen policy support, increase financial inputinto the rural areas, and improve rural infrastructure construction,strengthen the construction and management of rural market, maintainthe market order, and create a harmonious consumption environment.Meanwhile, it also states that we should develop the rural economy,increase farmers’ income and perfect the rural social security system tosolve farmers’ concern. Besides, we change farmer’s traditionalconsumption concept and cultivate scientific consumption, guide farmers’ rational consumption, regulate consumers’ behaviors in ruralareas. Chapter Five summarizes the full text and puts forward theprospect.
