The Relationship Between Government And Industry Association In Industry Governance

Industry governance is that managers (the subject of industry governance) make use of somemeans to solve the problem in industry and improve the economic efficiency in order to achieve thespecial industrial goal. The logic starting point is that the market can not do everything.Government and industry association is the main body of industry governance. Government is kindof public order, while industry association is private order. Both play an important role in theindustry governance. In industry governance, government is the leading role, but the industryassociation is the necessary complement and support. Due to the objective function, incentive andrestraint mechanism and organization of the different cost, government and industry associationpresent different governance character. Government and industry association should build acooperative relationship based on their complementary advantages. At present, our country is ineconomic transition period. On the one hand, the government still controls more resources and leaveinsufficient autonomy to the industry association;on the other hand, industry association, due tointernal system is not perfect, the autonomous ability needs to be improved. Therefore, we mustspeed up the transformation of governmental functions and improve the autonomy of industryassociation.
