A Study On Corporate Social Responsibility Performance

In the21st century, economic globalization promoted the comprehensive development of human society, economy, society and environment influence each other become more and more significant. If enterprises want to obtain sustainable development in the new environment, it can not ignore the rising social expectations and many social contradictions, more can’t to persist in one’s old ways in the depth of focus on corporate social responsibility and sustainable development all over the world. The government laws and regulations, social calls and sustainable development of the enterprise itself all require enterprises to pay attention to the fulfillment of social responsibility.However, due to the study of corporate social responsibility in China starts late, the awareness of social responsibility issues is still unclear:enterprise responsibility on earth to who, it should be what kind of responsibility, what is the present state of the fulfillment of corporate social responsibility and how to promote the performance of CSR, etc. Therefore, urgent need to establish a set of suitable for China’s corporate social responsibility evaluation system to guide enterprises to carry out social responsibility activities, supply the operable evaluation index system for administrative supervision and social supervision, reflect totally the state of the fulfillment of corporate social responsibility, and provide China’s enterprises to perform social responsibility substantially. Based on the prospects of the stakeholders that corporations take social responsibility, it has set up a system of measurement of corporate social responsibility (CSR) in manufacturing listed companies through a content analysis of140manufacturing listed company social responsibility report, and assessed sample enterprises’social responsibility performance, and found that performance in staff training and development, employee occupational safety and health, employee welfare and product safety and quality are good, and sample enterprises attach great importance to positive communication with the shareholders and investors, but performance in the media, non-governmental organizations, regulators responsibility, in responsibilities of restore the environment and the equality of the staff employment are poor.On the basis of knowing social responsibility fulfillment of the manufacturing listed companies, the paper went on discussing causes that the problems of corporate social responsibility fulfillment, and put forward some Suggestions to promote enterprises to actively carry out social responsibility. The results help corporations manage stakeholders, and disclose the situation for the commentators.
