The Applied Research On The Generalized Data Envelopment Analysis In The Highway Listed Companies’ Efficiency Evaluation

So far, China’s highway mileage has b een ranked second in the world, It is only behind the United States. Highway industry as an important industry is promoting economic development in recent years,but it has appeared a series of problems, such as investment efficiency is declining. Analysis of efficiency attibutes to analysis the reasons for the decline,so many scholars apply different efficiency assessment methodology to study the issue, however, there are some limitations.This paper apply the generalized data envelopment analysis method to the efficiency of the evaluation of highway listed companies, with detailed descriptions of the generalized data envelopment analytical methods in the evaluation of highway listed company efficiency,it can overcome the drawbacks of traditional efficiency assessment methodology.To some extent, it can provide valuable information to the managers of the listed companies.This paper depend on summarized the research of scholars on the basis of comprehensive comparison of common efficiency evaluation method to company efficiency analysis at home and abroad, highlighting the advantages of the generalized data envelopment analysis in the evaluation of corporate efficiency.Then I have introduced the basic knowledge of the generalized data envelopment analysis model, combined with the characteristics of the listed company on highway industry, when aplly generalized data envelopment analysis model to analysis the efficiency of highway listed companies, some problems should be noted:the selected financial indicators should reflect the efficiency of investment and operating efficiency of the company as much as possible; sample unit should be representative, the paper used benchmark object in the traditional DEA model as a sample unit in the G-DEA model.Finally, the paper apply empirical analysis to China’s19current Highway listed companies. Financial data related indicators efficiency of investment and management efficiency. And depend on the company’s annual report during period from2010to 2012, established Constant returns to scale generalized G-C2R model, with the help of MaxDEA and LINDO software to calculate the results of the model, investment efficiency and operating efficiency were analyzed, the results prove that the generalized data envelopment analysis model can reflect the efficiency of investment and operating efficiency of highway listed companies propely; some extra important conclusions can help to improve the efficiency through empirical.
