Research On Leading Industry Development Strategy Of Lanzhou City

Leading industry is the driving wheel of national and regionaleconomic growth,which is the core of constructing the reasonablestructure of regional industry. Whether regional industrial structure isreasonable or not is an area measuring important indicators of the levelof economic development. And the process of regional industrialstructure optimization and upgrading is also playing a role of leadingindustry to drive the process. Therefore,the key of the rationalization ofthe industrial structure is correctly choosing and developing leadingindustries, by playing a driving role to speed up the adjustment ofindustrial structure and promote the sustained,rapid economicdevelopment throughout the region.As the emergence of headquarter economy in recent years, it has amore and more important influence on the development of regionaleconomic. Starting from the interaction effect analysis of headquarterseconomy and leading industries, this article systematically analysis thedevelopment situation and characteristics of Lanzhou city’s leadingindustrial. On this basis, the paper applies the theory of headquarterseconomy to discuss the development strategy of leading industry basedon headquarters economy so as to promote economic development inLanzhou city.This article firstly sums up the related theory research on leading industry, headquarters economic and leading industry developmentstrategy, finding most studies were focused on choosing leading industryand the development of city headquarters economy, which bothrespectively studied, there’s very little specific research about therelationship between the leading industry development strategy andheadquarters economy. Therefore, this article discusses leading industrydevelopment strategy in Lanzhou bases on the theory of headquarterseconomy development. Secondly, this paper expounds the presentsituation of leading industry development in Lanzhou and tries todevelop leading industry depending on the guidance of headquartereconomy model from the direction of development of the existingleading industry. Finally, combining with the actual situation in Lanzhoucity, this article proposes leading industry development strategy andgives the countermeasures and suggestions.
