Research On Regional Tourism Economy Disparities And Its Influencing Factors Of Gansu Province

In recent years, with the rapid development of China’s economy, the disparity of China’s regional economic is increasing; regional economic disparities has become one of the core issues of government, academic circles and all circles of the society. The regional disparity of tourism economy is one of the important forms of regional economic disparities. Since the implementation of the western development policy, the tourism industry in western China has been developing rapidly, and has become an important driving force to regional economic. However. due to resource endowments. infrastructure conditions, the level of economic development and industrial policy, and many other factors, inter-regional tourism imbalance of economic development becomes a common socio-economic phenomenon. Analyze regional disparities of tourism economy and its causes deeply have the vital significance to develop the tourism resources rationally, optimize the allocation of tourism factors of production, and determine development priorities and direction of regional tourism minify the disparities of regional tourism economy.The present study aims to analyze the disparity of regional tourism economy form the aspect of time evolution and space structure, with14cities of Gansu Province as research subjects. When analyzing the time evolution of regional tourism economy from2002to2010, the study tries to measure the evolution of absolute regional disparity by using the extreme difference and standard deviation, and the evolution of relative disparity by using extreme value and variation coefficient choosing domestic tourism income and international tourism as index, and the contribution rate of domestic tourism economy and foreign tourism economy to the comprehensive disparities by using the Gene coefficient and its structure decomposition. At the same time, when analyzing space structure of tourism economy in Hubei, the study adopts factor analysis to analyze the space distribution of2010through constructing index system. Research conclusions are as follows:(1) From2002to2010, the absolute disparity of tourism economy is enlarging gradually, but contrast, the relative disparity of tourism economy is diminishing slowly and its fluctuation is becoming smaller and tends to balance.(2) The comprehensive disparity of tourism economy is shrinking, but the tourism economy disparity is still quite obvious; domestic tourism revenue is the main contributor to the comprehensive disparity of tourism economy, and its contribution rate is increasing gradually.(3) As the aspect of space distribution, the development of tourism economy in Gansu can be divided into5levels. Lanzhou is the first; Jiuquan are the second. In addition, the third level includes Tianshui, Jiayuguan, Baiyin. Qingyang, Jinchang, Pingliang cities; the fourth level includes Zhangye, Wuwei. Dingxi cities; Longnan Gannan and Linxia cities belong to the fifth level.(4) Finally, this study analyzes the reasons of regional disparity of tourism economy in Gansu province and then puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions by discussing the influencing factors including the tourism resources, regional traffic conditions, economic background and industry policy environment and so on.
