In recent years, there is much more catastrophe. The loss and damage caused by the catastrophe threaten social stability. Everyone may face catastrophe risk, whose behavior is not only related to the safety of life and property, it is vital in catastrophe risk management. At the present, as lack of risk awareness, prevention measures and others, to evaluate our catastrophe risk management level is so difficult. Based on that, the article is to put up some suggestions to change the condition.Firstly, the article proposes the background of the issue we want to study and research. And then it carries out a detailed theoretical content. We select descriptive analysis、variance analysis、factor analysis、 correlation analysis to analyze the raw data with SPSS17.0software. The empirical conclusions are:(1) Most people have a weak sense of catastrophe risk, a low frequency of catastrophe risk, and a lack of preventive measures.(2) Demographic factors-gender, age, education level, income affect their catastrophe risk awareness, behavior, risk behavior evaluation. The impact on the revenue risk attitude or the loss risk attitude is not significant, so we hold that everyone hate is not a risk, but losses.(3) In order to reduce variables, we use the method of factor analysis. The catastrophe risk awareness is a very important factor which influences catastrophe risk behavior, and its role cannot be ignored.(4) The factors which affect policyholder vary from the subsidies. The results of the analysis show that if the government does not provide subsidies, the correlation between the frequency of catastrophe risk and purchasing catastrophe insurance is not significant; while there is a negative correlation between the frequency and purchasing catastrophe insurance with the government subsidy. This may be due to that the higher frequency lead to better usual precautions well and people is mostly riskers. Finally according to the results of the empirical part we have the following recommendations:First, we make most of information transmission channels to increase the frequency of interest; Second, we should strengthen the day-to-day prevention measures in order to enhance self-defense capabilities; Third, we can study catastrophe risk knowledge so we can improve risk awareness; fourth, we should participate in disaster drills to improve the self-help capabilities; fifth, we make a correct understanding of catastrophe insurance, and select the appropriate insurance products.
