Land use and cover change is an important part of global and regional environment,it,s the important topic for the global research. With the continuous development ofglobal economy, human development and utilization of natural resources, land of theearth’s surface land cover with the development of constantly changing too. This notonly affects the local ecological environment, but also profound impact on the region’sbiodiversity, environmental quality and ecosystem, thereby affecting the globalecosystem. With the development of "RS,GIS&GPS" our country’s emphasis on theecological environment, using " RS,GIS&GPS " technology for dynamic monitoring ofland use and cover change have take advantage of the relevant departments tounderstand the local land use basic situation, to provide evidence for decision making.Completion of this paper is built on the basis of the results of the project “RemoteSensing Dynamic Monitoring of ecological environment”. In this paper, in WenchuanCounty, Sichuan Province as the study area, the Landsat image as the main source ofinformation, the use of remote sensing image processing software ENVI, GISsoftware ArcGIS10software, using spatial overlay analysis method WenchuanCounty in Sichuan Province from2006to2010land use dynamic monitoring ofdifferent types of land use change analysis, detailed understanding of the basic landuse in Wenchuan County four years.Thesis research results mainly include the following aspects:(1) The establishment of Wenchuan County land use classification systemapplications in2006,2008and2010, three remote sensing image, land use during theexperimental area to understand the translation, the basic identification of the three timeperiods of the study area land uses the status quo;(2) The establishment of Wenchuan County in2006,2008and2010, land use and land cover the status quo database and from2006to2008and from2008to2010landuse and land cover dynamic database.(3) Wenchuan County land use time series and spatial sequence analysis tounderstand the conversion of the Wenchuan County from2006to2010betweenland-use types, as well as the change in velocity and extent of change. And based onfractal theory, Wenchuan County land-use stability analysis in2006,2008and2010;(4) Finally, Wenchuan County land use/cover changes in the driving forces in andgiven a reasonable proposal.Through Wenchuan County2006,2008and2010land use dynamic monitoringand analysis, drawn before and after the earthquake, Wenchuan County, the land usechange.2006to2008, arable land decreased from0.81%to0.44%the woodland areafell by70.49%to60.40%, the decline in the area of urban construction fell by0.14%to0.08%. The earthquake led to a greater degree of damage of the woodland,farmland and construction land, into the unused land.2008-2010, have increased inthe area of various land types, unused land partially converted into meadows andwoodlands, ecological recovery.
