Research On The Supermarket Service System Based On Witness Simulation

With the development of economy and the service industry attention intensifiedefforts by the country.As an important service agencies,The supermarkets have beendeveloped rapidly,The competitions between supermarkets are also more and morefierce.But, Service quality of the supermarkets are affected seriously by the queuingphenomenon of the supermarket, The competition ability of the supermarket is alsoreduced.So,Through reduction of the queuing phenomenon and improved of the servicequality,The research and optimization on service system of the supermarket has theimportant significances.The queuing system of the M supermarket is the research object of this paper, thenumber of customers who arrived at the supermarket system and service time areStatisticed, The average rate of customer arrived and service time are calculated byhypothesis test method; the service systems of the supermarket at the peak and off-peakof working days and the holiday are analysed by the queuing theory,the least number ofcheckouts at the peak and off-peak of working days and the holiday; Through theeconomic analysis of the supermarket service system based on Witness,the number ofloss customers and the loss profits are got,the lowest cost of the queuing system arecalculated, profit maximization of supermarkets is realized;Through comprehensiveanalyzing the operation condition of the supermarket system,the optimal number ofsetup checkouts throughout the day in different time are obtained,it provides thereference and basis for optimal number of checkouts and the y work schedule ofeployees.
