This paper further discuss the theory and methods for multi-baseline stereo imagematching and surface reconstruction in reverse engineering, and analyzes3D modelingin the function and advantages respectively, then puts forward the method and measurefor a mix3D modeling by advantages. What’s more, taking the bronze statue with tonalsingle and the mark stone by tonal sharp as the experimental subjects, at last it is provedthat the method is applicable. The paper talked about the calibrate method of non-metriccamera, and elaborates some matters to consider in the process of arranging controlpoints in3D modeling, and discusses the problems in the process of handling pointcloud and pasting texture, and discusses the main problem of the reverse engineeringused in3D modeling, finally completed the experimental subjects of3D modeling. Theexperiments showed that, it is obtained by multi-baseline close range photogrammetryof point cloud data, combined with surface reconstruction in the advantage of reverseengineering, it is proved by the facts that this method is not only high in precision butalso capable of obtaining equally large quantity of point cloud as3D laser scanner in acheaper way and provides an effective method of3D modeling,with not only geometryprecision but also the form and color vivid description, which has a obvious advantageof small object3D modeling method, it provides an effective method with meticulous3D remodeling for protected cultural relics and textual research. The main work is asfollows:(1)This paper took an approach combining theoretical and empirical analysiswith multi-baseline close range photogrammetry and surface reconstruction of reverseengineering, an effective method of3D modeling is given.(2)Secondly, the key techniques of systems, such as calibrate method ofnon-metric camera, multi-baseline stereo image matching, arrange control points,reverse engineering and pasting texture are analyzed in the text, has established arelatively perfect technological process of3D model.(3)According to the bronze statue and the mark stone with different color anddifferent texture characteristics,3D modeling of experiments can achieve the highstandard of meticulous accuracy.
