Vortex beams are new type special of beams. The characteristics are that has helicalstructure of wave front, the barrelin tensity distribution,the smaller darks Pot size andwith certain orbital angular momentum and so on.According to these qualities,this kind ofspecial optical field has been applied in many fields including optical micromanipulation,laser optics, biomedicine,particle waveguide, optical information processing,molecularoptics.and atomic optics. Therefore,in the recent years, the various characteristics ofvortex beam becom a researchful hotspot. In these characteristics, Research on itstransmission characteristics and the characteristics of interference has important seientifiesignifieane.In accordance with the two characteristics,the paper studied the followingcontents:Firstly, outlined search back ground, history and several common method in createthe vortex beams. The spot broadening and phase distribution of vortex beams whichgeneration in a spiral phase of change during transmission were analyzed theoretically andexperimentally.Secondly, the stability of the phase singularities of fractional and integral vortexbeams during transmission were analyzed theoretically and experimentally, The simulationresults show that this method is beneficial to the long distance observation of vortexbeam.Thirdly, begin with changing size and symbols of topological charge of vortex beamthe paper analyzed the impact of topological charge of vortex beamon the interferencepattern of vortex beams with spherical wave,plane wave and Young’s double-slitinterference. Though MATLAB progress numerical simulation and academic analyse andtestified by experiment,Finally, it is difficult to achieve of iIncident beam is aligned with center of spiralphase plate completely,so the off-axis vortex beam is generated in the actual situation. Inaccordance with the case off-axis vortex beam, the paper analyzed the impact of the fourfactors of the size and symbols of the topological charge transmission distance, and off-axis parameter. Numerical simulation experiments have been performed thoughMATLAB progress this provides elementary academic gist for next experimental measure.
