The development and some definitions of chaos are briefly introduced in the paper. The unified system is taken as an example to introduce the active method and the Lyapunov exponent method. A four-species food chain mathematic model is studied, its parameters are identified and the stability is analyzed on the basis. Linear feedback chaos control is used, and a steady periodic state is obtained by adjusting the parameters of the system to meet people’s need of population stability in different periods. Simulation is made to test the effectiveness of the method. The method makes not only possibility of an ecological balance, but also a high economic benefit.Four types of spatiotemporal chaos are introduced. The process of the coupled map lattice and its established is detailed. The study of the behavior of infinite-dimensional dynamics and spatiotemporal chaos behavior is shown more convenient by elaborating the coupled map lattice own advantages and characteristics. Two methods are briefly introduced in the quantitatively characterize of the spatiotemporal chaos:Lyapunov exponents and power spectral analysis. Meanwhile, a method of parameter identification and projective synchronization of uncertain chaotic systems is proposed based on the existing linear coupling and nonlinear coupling method of spatiotemporal chaos synchronization. A negative feedback control is used in the chaotic model, and the system parameters is identified by constructing Lyapunov function to achieve the projective synchronization of two systems. The insect population model is taken as an example, and simulation is made to test the effectiveness of the method.
