Study On The Evolution Of Landscape Pattern Of Rural Settlements In Taihang Mountain Area

Since the economic reform and openness took place in China, the rural society economy had been developed rapidly, as well as the population grown in an increasing trend, the family structure was differentia, the number of residential building of rural residents is expanding, the settlement boundary extends outwards continuously.At the same time, under the Urbanization’s Impact, there have been a transforming stage to numerous things, including the social consciousness, economic base, the life style, mode of production, spatial structure of villagers living concept and settlement in Taihang mountain village settlement, from quantitative change into qualitative. The old structure of rural settlements began to disintegrate, the closed pattern of rural settlement gradually broken.The landscape pattern evolution of rural settlement in this area has its own characteristics. Firstly, the rural settlements of the Taihang Mountains have plenty of ancient monuments and rich local culture which should be preserved. Additionally, the Taihang region has a weak economy, mainly due to the failure access of external resources. Third, Taihang Mountain residential construction forms of diversity. Cave, Adobe and brick concrete housing and new distribution, its evolution is facing more challenges.This paper made quantitative analysis on landscape types of rural settlement in Taihang Mountain Area and comparison of various landscape indexes, based on the analysis of the pattern of evolution. According to the data, it reveals the rural settlement landscape pattern evolution and driving factors in Taihang Mountain Area. On this basis, the paper draws the following results:First, the rural settlement’s landscape in this area has single function, most settlements are still dominated by the living, and the residential building is the main landscape settlement.Second, the evolution of rural settlement landscape of Taihang Mountain is the family and the house as carrier, the family continues to divide into small family, it impacts the structure of the original settlement pattern.Third, landscape pattern evolution power includes the regional rural economic, population, income, social concept, and environment factor.
