The CINRAD has high spatial and temporal resolution, timely and accurate remote sensing capabilities. It plays an important role in detection of meso-scale and micro-scale weather system, monitoring of hazardous weather and short-term forecast. When analyze the meso-scale and micro-scale weather system, the information of horizontal wind field is an important element. So since1960s, domestic and foreign scholars have proposed a lot of methods for wind field retrieval with single Doppler-radar. Because the basis assumptions and the processing of derivations are different, so the scope and effect of the methods are also different. This would bring troubles to users. So this article selected9methods which6kinds of methods are used to retrieve the non-vortex wind field, other3methods are used to retrieve the vortex wind field. Compared these methods from assumptions, inversion accuracy and inversion speed, then obtain the conclusion that every methods apply to which type wind field. This article simulated4types perfect wind field to compare the inversion accuracy.After the contrast test, this article used9methods to retrieve the measured radar data. The results showed:for the non-vortex wind field radar data,6kinds of non-vortex retrieval methods could retrieve the wind field well, but for the vortex wind field radar data, the retrieval results were not very good, other3kinds of vortex retrieval methods could retrieve the internal structure of vortex very well.This article also developed a software called optimal method for wind field retrieval, aimed at solve the uses’ perplex that what kind of method to choose when they retrieve the wind field. This software includes the9kinds of method mentioned in this article. The users only need to judge the radar data is or not typhoon data, then the software can be start to retrieve, calculate and judge, at last it will choose a method not only guarantee the precision but also guarantee the speed to retrieve the wind field. Use the u and v component of the retrieval wind to calculate the distribution of vorticity, and mark the strongest center area where could happen the hazardous weather. Use the software to retrieve the real radar data, the software can choose an optimal method. Analyze the retrieval picture and data, the method which was chosen by the software has a certain degree of credibility, and the strongest vorticity area and radar strong echo area are basis coincide, these illustrate the software has a good practicality.
