In the past decades,since neutron was fand by Chadwick in the laboratory, kinds oftechnology that take advantage of neutron was favored for many countries,in these technology,the rapid development of neutron tube technology have a great influence upon The physicscommunity, science and technology and The development of the whole society. Scientists allover the world all trys to develop the neutron tube that performance index has moreadvantages with continuous efforts. Among numerous countries, America, Russia, France,Germany and so on, they all achieved good results. In the domestic, except Xi’an petroleumexploration instrument factory, Northeast Normal University Kelun Study on Radiation Technologyoccupy a space for one person in International and domestic.Owing to the extensive use of coal in the various professions and trades,the massdetection of coal is particularly important. In the mathods of detection commonly used for themoment, the chemical method is the most widely,but this method,its measuring time is toolong,and the sampling volume is too small, its disadvantage is more and more obvious,so themethod of online analysis of coal by neutron tube is more and more recognized by scientistsall over the world.In the process of using neutron tube,we can regulate its pulse length,frequency, but inwhich pulse length and frequency range we can achieve the best outcome, This article willstart with this respect, discusses focus on this respect. The result achieved in the experiment,hope that it can have practical guiding significance in the online analysis of coal.In the experiment, we will detect the spectrum pulse neutron coal analysis detection,search the suitabe scope of the pulse length and frequency initially;afterwards we utilize pulseneutron generator, detect the mixed spectrum and capture spectrum in different pulse lengthand frequency, analyse the γ-ray spectrum that we achieved, simply say, take the method ofthe coarse adjustment firstly, Further fine-tuning, after draw a conclusion, checkout, text andverify the conclusion repeatedly.
