Research On K’ung Hsiang-hsi’s Thoughts And Practice Of Science And Technology

K’ung Hsiang-hsi, as one of the important officers in the Kuomintang government, after looking up the original references and studying his thoughts and practice deeply, this thesis analyzes the related literatures of K’ung Hsiang-hsi from education, agriculture and industry in science and technology, and makes a summarization about his experience of popularizing and developing science and technology.In the beginning of chapter one, from the perspective of science and technology and society, this thesis comprehensively analyzes the germination, growth, development, practice and maturity of Kung Hsiang-hsi’s educational thoughts on science and technology, and ends with the positive significance of this process in order to present all his contribution in the filed of science and technology education. On the basis of the development of his thoughts on science and technology education, this thesis explains K’ung Hsiang-hsi’s thoughts on science and technology of agriculture, which was based on the policy and the practice of science and technology in agriculture in the Ming Hsien School. In the last chapter, this thesis elaborates K’ung Hsiang-hsi’s thoughts and practice on science and technology of industry.
