Habermas Science And Technology Thought Of Democracy From The Perspective Of Communication

As a science and technology for the human to pursue happiness, which oppositely become the tool that oppress humanity and even threaten the survival of human. Sympathetic scientists and thinkers are constantly exploring the reasons of technological alienation, and finding ways to overcome the technological alienation.As a representative of society critical theory, Habermas affirmed the social role of science and technology, at the same time, he devoted to the researching of the causes of technological alienation and the ways to overcome the alienation, which was arduous and fruitful. Habermas proposed a new theory which is called Technology democratization path, to solve the problems of technological alienation and try to build the democracy of science and technology on the basis of the rationalization of life and universal pragmatics, and then choosing communicative rationality rather than instrumental rationality as the basis for his theory.In this paper, the writer use a rational perspective to analyze the technological democratization of Habermas’. Firstly, according to the generation of communicative rationality and characteristics------according to the analyzation of the generation of communicative rationality and characteristics. Then we can point out that the analyzation of basis for the democratization of science and technology------pointing out communicative rationality is the reflection of tool rationality. Then, the analysis points to the main content of the Habermas’technology democratization, under the theory of "technological rationality" and "technology ideology", the democratization of science and technology is a way to solve the technology hegemonism. What’s more, from the point of view of communicative rationality of technological democratization, pointing out the inherent correlation between them which have common roots and mission. Finally, through the evaluation and exploration of Habermas’thought of technological democratization, and we know that his thought of technological democratization is not purely Utopian. Under the existing system of science and technology, it is a way to solve the problem of technological alienation.
