Hailaer Basin, with area of44210km2, is located in the Hulunbeir League ofInner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It is not only the one of largest basin ofSongliao Basin, but the favorable region in oil and gas potential. Bei14block lies inthe mid-west of sudeerte structural zone, the Bei’er Depression of Hailaer Basin. Thetarget bed researched is Xing’anling Group of Jurassic. Sudeerte Oilfield has been inthe stage of progressive exploration and development since2005. This paper is startedby the data of rock core, geology, well logging and oil test, applied the theories andmethod of sedimentology, structural geology, sequence stratigrapy, petroleum geology, well logging, etc, finish the work of division and correlation of substrata. On thatbasis, the sedimentary characteristics and facies included its type and distribution ofXing’anling Group has been analyzed in detail. Besides, the effective thicknessinterpretation standard of the reservoir was also studied. The achievement of reservoirdescription could provide the basis for potential area prediction and developmentprogram adjustment, which is of great significance to oil-gas exploration. The conclusions acquired are as follow:1. The main layer of Bei14block is concentrated in the Oil GroupⅠ and Ⅱ, soaim at these two group, Empirical Mode Decomposition(EMD)is applied in thedivision and correlation of substrata. The theory and feasibility of EMD is discussedin detail. Based on the drilling core, EMD is used to analyze logging curve and extractgeological boundary information containing it. Marker beds that with clearsedimentary feature are selected as key interface, precious achievement is referred, sedimentary cycle is studied, meanwhile fundamental profiles are chosen. Finally, thework of division and correlation of substrata is finished. Oil GroupⅠ is divided intoten substrata, Oil GroupⅡ is divided into sixteen substrata. Then, stratigraphicdivision is explicit, regional isochronous stratigraphic framework is established, which lay the foundation for the study of sedimentary micro-facies.2. The research on facies mark of rock core, outcrop, depositional background, sedimentary structure, paleontology and electric property show that sudeerte structuralzone is fan delta and lake deposition, and Xing’anling Group is fan delta frontsubfacies. Making use of research method from point to line and face, combiningsubstrata division result, the well logging response feature of Xing’anling Group issummarized, logging facies template is built, sedimentary facies can correspond tologging facies. Xing’anling Group is further subdivided four micro-facies as follow:underwater distributary channel, underwater distributary interchannel, mouth bar, frontal sheet sand.3. Due to different oil layer of Xing’anling Group with different lithology, physical, electric, oil bearing property and tufaceous content, the effective thicknessinterpretation standard of Bei14block is made. Based on the drilling core, throughresearching logging response, combined oil test information, log interpretation modeof effective thickness is put forward. Analyzing four normal logging curves, the morethe logging response fit the mode, the more capacity it will be. This mode standardhas easy application and operability. Effective thickness of the reservoir can beascertain approximately, which play a important role in later exploitation.
