Modern optical system is developing in the direction of miniaturization, lightweight, structural simplification and high performance ratio. Some special optical components often play an important role in this respect. With the improvement of the level of aspheric component design, processing and testing technology, aspheric lenses has become one of the most effective and the most widely used components in the optical system. It will simplify the system structure to introduce aspheric structure in the appropriate location of the optical system.With the development of the society, optical fiber communication technology plays an increasingly important role. Into the fiber and the transmission loss, especially the loss from semiconductor laser single-mode fiber coupling and optical fiber connection, in optical fiber communication is increasingly brought to the attention of the people. With the widely use of1310nm and1550nm single mode fiber of low loss, incident power become the main factor of restricting relay distance of high speed optical fiber network. And optical fiber end face features have a great influence on optical fiber connection. So it is of great significance to study the high coupling efficiency semiconductor laser single-mode fiber coupling system and portable optical fiber end face detection system.The purpose of this paper is to introduce aspheric lens into the optical fiber coupling and end face detection system. First of all, imaging coupled system for the commonly used single mode optical fiber is designed by using1310nm and1550nm laser diode of different ovality, on the basement of the actual situation that mass production of aspheric molding lens can reduce the cost and the principle of Gaussian beam waist spread rule under the condition of paraxial Gaussian image. And the correlation structure parameters of the system is given, the imaging quality is evaluated and the coupling efficiency is higher than single lens coupling system by using the coupling efficiency calculated from physical optics propagation function.Then, two groups of spherical lens system of different resolution are designed according to the requirements of the optical fiber end face detection, and aspheric lens system is designed. For the aspheric surface manufacturing method is different, precision glass molding lens and mix molding lens is used respectively to design the system in the design of high resolution aspheric lens system. The long object distance spherical lens detection system which can use face detection spherical system imaging device of general detection precision is designed for the situation that some position is not easy to test and need to use bent sub. Structural parameters of the design system are presented and the system image quality is evaluated using the column chart and MTF curve.
