The ring spring is a compression spring, which include of many outside rings with innerconical surface and inner rings with outer conical surface. Because of the ring spring bufferability so strongly, it’s commonly used in space limited size and absorb a lot of energy. Atpresent, the stress of ring spring calculation formula is derived by the material mechanics andelastic mechanics. With the development of computer and the development of finite elementtheory, he finite element method play an important in solving the mechanical characteristicsof the spring. Through the finite element analysis of the ring spring, it is providing an newideas for the design and application and having the certain instruction function to the actualproduction.The main research results of this paper include the following:(1) Through the ring spring finite element analysis, has obtained the maximum stress inthe inner ring surface and minimum stress in the outer ring surface, test the rationality of thefinite element method. By using the S-N curve of manufacturing annular spring material ofalloy steel, finite element calculation of inner ring spring and formula for calculating the ratioof about1.2times, finite element calculation and the formula for calculating the ring ratio ofabout0.9times. The finite element method for ring spring design calculation provides datareference, and added structural parameters of the ring spring.(2) According to the stress distribution of finite element calculation, which determine thefatigue of danger on the inner surface of the ring spring within the circle of the middle andlower side. Using of alloy steel S-N curve, and through ANSYS fatigue analysis module toestablish a set of contact fatigue analysis model. In a given cycle time, calculate the stress ofthe dangerous points under different displacement load cycles, determine the ring springfatigue life.(3) Ring spring mathematical model is established by using MATLAB language. Thebasic structure of the parameters as design variables of ring spring and small size (small quality) as objective function and strength, stiffness and other requirements as constraintconditions. In the premise of satisfying all constraint conditions of the given, convenient tocalculate the volume small and comply with the design requirements of ring spring.(4) Ring spring system of single freedom vibration model is established, according to theactual situation of ring spring applications, calculate the ring stiffness of the spring. Dynamicanalysis based on MATLAB, the load characteristics of ring spring, for the safety andreliability of the ring spring under the dynamic environment to lay the good foundation.
