Presently the mining seismic acquisition system which works with cables is very inefficient and bulky. The Cable-free mining system has no cables, which could improve the flexibility, efficiency and ability to adapt the complicated conditions in mine greatly, and which will represent the future tendency of seismic acquisition system used in coal mine underground. But because the synchronization triggers of mining cable-free system rely on the scheduled time, how to realize the high-precision time-synchronization is the key technology for mining cable-free seismograph.In this paper a GPS time-synchronization system is designed based on the synchronization method of cable-free seismograph and principle of GPS timing, and an initial time-synchronization method for the seismographs is realized. A large number of time experiments are carried out to prove the reliability and stability of seismographs, to collect the data of timepieces error with the time and environmental factors. And the conclusions is obtained that the seismograph performance has a high reliability under normal temperature, the seismograph timepieces error is growing linearly with time, and the humidity, vibration factors has little impact on timepieces error.Cubic spline interpolation algorithm and Akima interpolation method are applied to the timepieces error calibration, and ultimately the Akima interpolation is chosen as the calibration method though comparing with the original property keeping, computing quantity and speed between two kinds of methods. The time-synchronization precision can reach microsecond after calibration t by analysis the data of microseism location.The time-synchronization system of this paper is the most ideal in mining cable-free seismograph at present. To achieve high precision time-synchronization for this system, we must use the timepieces error calibration method. And to realize the high precision synchronization for seismographs by a timing method directly or a wireless network is the development tendency of time-synchronization system in the future.
