Assessment And Survey Of Wangfangdian City Biodiversity

Wafangdian City is located in the west side of the central part of Liaodong peninsula，which belongs to warm temperate continental monsoon climate in humid and sub-humidclimate zone.Species distribution is in the transition zone from Northeast China to North Chinaof the fauna and flora.In this research, the main ways to obtain relevant data of biologicaldiversity of Wafangdian City are field investigation and data collection. Based on the"Evaluation standard of regional biodiversity HJ623-2011", which designated by the Ministryof Environmental Protection on January1,2012. we conducted the biodiversity survey andevaluation of the whole territory of Wafangdian City for the first time. According to the resultsof the survey; There are664kinds of wild vascular plants in Wafangdian City, Includingvarieties and forms;234species of wild vertebrates,71species of Chinese endemism,19kindsof invasive alien species,40threatened species, The biodiversity index (BI) of Wafangdian Cityis25.8269. The evaluation results as "medium". The results showed that;（1）wildlife resources are in the middle level;（2）Types of ecological system are relatively simple,the trend that artificial vegetationinstead of native vegetation is obvious;（3）there are a few Chinese endemic genera and species;（4）there are potential threats come from the invasion of alien species;（5）the number and range of threatened species are extensive.This research is conducive to a comprehensive understanding of the status of biologicaldiversity and changing trends in Wafangdian, analyze the status and causes of biologicaldiversity in Wafangdian City, put forward the opinions and suggestions of protection. Establishthe focus and direction of future protection. In addition, methods and conclusions of thisresearch are valuable to evaluation of else area at the county level in the future.
