As one of the most important saline mine, the potash deposits, being of importanteconomic value, are therein a major kind of raw material for industrial andagricultural production. According to its genesis, Potash mine belongs to the evaporitedeposit, under drought environment, dissolved salts in the surface water willevaporatively deposit in closed or semi-closed basin. As the significance ofpotash in farming, the demand for Potash resource is now greatly increasing asChina’s rapid economic development.Although there are varieties of forestry resources all over the world, thedistribution is not balanced, mainly in the North America and the Europe, comparingto which potash resources in Asia is relatively poor, while comparing to SouthAmerica, Africa, Oceania and Antarctica and etc, however, it is relatively abundant. nthe basis of predecessors’ work and the data published by United States geologicalsurvey (USGS), we found that the total potash resource reserve in Asia comes up to3.509billion tons (including Russian potash reserves, in terms of K2O equivalent),thetotal reserve is dominated by seven potash-forming basins, which accounts for12.81percent of the world reserves(in terms of27.397billion tons)As for the potash metallogenetic regularity in China, Han Yuchuan(2012)proposed that the potash deposits in China should be divided into three patterns:the contempary saline lake one, the underground brine one and the sedimentary one.we believe it is accredited, but with extra considerations about the metallogeniccharacteristics of main potash deposits in Asia.This article through the analysis of the system to collect, sort out China’ssurrounding areas and Potash mineralization related to the geological structure, theancient geography, ancient climate, geochemical exploration and remote sensing data,etc. Comprehensive and in-depth summary of potassium as potassium condition,ore-controlling factors and metallogenic regularity; On this basis, carry out of potashresource potential analysis, proposed the strategic vision of risk resource explorationarea, delineated prospect forecast area, estimated reserves; Distribution of the potashresources and existing and potential analysis, resources, exploration status, market athome and abroad present situation and the prospect analysis, relevant nationalinvestment environment, the current our country resources strategic policy and so onvarious factors, put forward China’s potash investigation of development strategy of"going out".
