Abstract/Summary:
Seawater desalination technology is an important way to solve the increasingly serious freshwater shortage. As a new desalination technology, seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) has made arapidly development since its emergence. Desalination projects using SWRO increases every year.The problem of this technology is the high cost of water preparation, some scholars have studiedthoroughly, and the studies have shown that the cost can be reduced effectively through theoptimization design of SWRO desalination membrane system. SWRO desalination system is atypical process industry system, the running cost can be reduced by scheduling on its operation state.This paper made a deep research on the above two terms, and explored the optimal design ofmembrane process and operation state to achieve the lowest cost of water preparation. The researchcontents mainly include the following aspects:According to the optimization design of SWRO desalination membrane system, the traditionaloptimization method of membrane system was converted, the mathematical model with theminimum water cost as the target was developed. Firstly, based on the characteristics of the processof SWRO desalination membrane system, the mathematic model was established and the SWROprocess was simulated through the model. Secondly, investment cost and operation cost were usedas the decision variables, and the correlate economic model was established. Finally, based on theprocess model and the economic model, the optimal design model of different process was built, theoptimal objective function, constraints, and variables were established; The GAMS solver wereused to solve the model, the optimal structure of SWRO desalination membrane system wasdetermined, the annual energy fee, water energy cost and other main economic indicators werecalculated. According to the different water quality conditions, the design of membrane system wasstudied, and the optimal design of membrane system was obtained under different conditions. It wasindicated that the optimal design of this paper was effective.According to scheduling of SWRO desalination system, the branch and bound method whichis widely used in the field of power dispatching was applied in solving the optimal model. Firstly,based on the analysis of different forecasting methods and the character of water consumption onLiuheng Island, the water consumption was predicted by using auto-regressive and moving averagemethod. Secondly, an optimizing-scheduling model with the minimum energy consumption cost asthe target was developed based on the process characteristics and operation state of the desalinationsystem, the water supply of water pool and the scheme of desalination unit were used as thedecision variables. Finally, the scheduling model was optimized by using branch and bound method. It was indicated from the example that the operation cost can be saved after scheduling.After the basic theoretical research on water forecasting, optimizing and scheduling, theoptimal operation and scheduling system on desalination was initially realized by using C#language under.Net platform. The feasibility and requirement of the software development werestudied, and the design framework was introduced. The implementation of function modules wasanalyzed and explained, and the test method and process of the software were described. It wasindicated that the supply plan of water pool and the scheme of desalination unit can be generatedafter scheduling by using the scheduling system based on historical water consumption data.
